There is a slight difference between wish and hope:
Wish is used for events that are not possible to happen:
- I wish I could fly.
- I wish I were wealthy.
Hope is used for events that you believe they are possible or likely to realize.
- I hope she doesn't have an accident.
- I hope to get a good job within two next weeks.
