Dissatisfied vs. Unsatisfied

Dissatisfied
If you are dissatisfied it is because something is not as good as you expected and want changes.

- 70% voters are dissatisfied with the way their country is being governed.
- Most of the customers were dissatisfied with the quality of the goods .
- He felt increasingly dissatisfied with his life as he approached middle age.

Unsatisfied
If you are unsatisfied it's because you want more of something or you want something to be better.

- There is already an unsatisfied demand for the timber products.
- He ate a meal large enough for three normal people but his appetite was still unsatisfied.
- Demand for the new car is still unsatisfied in spite of an increase on production.

Note that dissatisfied is a matter of quality and unsatisfied is a matter of quantity.
